I'm Just Being Honest

From Tim O'Brien

I can't say I have done well at the positivity challenge today, but saying I didn't do well would be negative.  I have done my best.  I think...

It is easier when you have humor and lightness surrounding you.  I am truly blessed to live in a world where things like the picture above exist...  In a world where John Stewart totally blows an interview because he doesn't get a reference to the Kobayashi Maru.  One in which I can thoroughly enjoy a hockey game that my team flops BECAUSE (and not in spite of) I spent the whole game surrounded by fans of our opponent. One in which it is hard to say goodbye but we know that the return will be sweet and full of delicious tradition.  A world in which my normal looks nothing like I ever believed it would and doesn't remotely make sense to those around me.

This world of my boy imitating my boyfriend imitating John Oliver's "Carlos Danger" dance.

The world of blessings in disguise and happy moments and tasty food.

It doesn't make the job of abandoning negativity a simple task, but it eases the burden to feel so full of the good stuff!
