A thousand tries- now I realize that you never were the one.
Here I am with the things you sold me and they're all broken down.
But when the smoke clears and I've disappeared will you miss dragging me down?
(Nothing to Lose, Will Hoge)
I'm a strong and happy person. I hate when people stand around waiting for me to break. There are not a lot of things in this world that can get me down for more than a minute.
Know that when you see me crying or broken, it is usually out of care and compassion for someone other than me. When I do get down about my own crap, just be aware it won't last long. I have overcome and conquered too often - I am resilient beyond comprehension.
I have faith and love and laughter to always bring me out of the way of the hurtful things the world throws in my path. I will be fine.
Well, some say life will beat you down Break your heart, steal your crown So I've started out for God knows where I guess I'll know when I get there (Learning to Fly, Tom Petty)

Drama Drama Drama
There are a few things that have kept me from this blog the last few weeks, but the post I was really excited to write earlier this week was eaten by a head cold.
Don't take it personally and please don't give up on me. I will be back to rockin' out and reflecting any day now. In the mean time, enjoy this:

There’s Always More
I sometimes feel guilty about being seven months behind on podcasts. Then I tune in to a message at exactly the right time. This is a part of the closing prayer from a message at Mars Hill in July:
You will never exhaust your potential.
You will never exhaust your potential.
You will never exhaust the love you need.
All of the love that we all pursue in everything else in our lives - what God is saying is, “I already gave you everything you ever need here thru Jesus. Nurture that first find that first and become the thing you were born to become. Realize your potential as the most loving being on Earth. Not only one who receives love but one who is able to give love endlessly."
That is our potential.
